My Story
Who is Svs?
Born in Madrid in August 1977, I am an artist of both the world and the multiverse, currently residing in Madrid, Spain. I have a profound love for art, and even more so for the ability to create it myself. I have been engaged in artistic endeavors since childhood, with a particular passion for both analog and digital collage. I work on canvas using acrylics and incorporate found objects, as well as design digital collages using editing software on my own photographs. My artistic journey spans between traditional art forms and the NFT metaverse, with a strong influence from surrealism.
I am represented by Galería Gaudí in Madrid, which can be found at www.galeriagaudi.net. I am a voyeur, a compulsive observer of the human condition and everything happening around me. As a cosmologist and a firm feminist, I fight for equal opportunities in art and in all areas of life for both women and men, advocating for gender freedom. I am committed to the LGBTQ+ community and staunchly defend the dignity and importance of indigenous peoples, regardless of their continent of origin. I collaborate with the NGO Survival España and international organizations.
I am obsessed with eyes, the number 7, human nudity, and creating original, coherent, and unique art. I sign my work as “SvS,” which is an abbreviation of SVSES, representing my name and essence— “I AM WHAT I SEE.”
Keys to understand my artworks
Surrealism, therapy and self-taught.
I always remember being inspired by surrealism, as it allowed my dreamlike and unconscious world to be reflected in my artwork. Often, I find it challenging to distinguish between the realm of dreams and the reality. I dream more while awake than when asleep.
I paint and create as a form of therapy. It’s something I need; it helps me explore and organize my inner self, which I strive to understand every day. Art gives meaning to my life.
I have been and continue to be self-taught, which requires more time and effort. I learn something new every day, and I enjoy innovating. I put my heart and soul into what I do, with passion, and I strive to remain true to my principles.
Feminism
Feminism is something intrinsic to me. I believe that one doesn’t have to be a woman to recognize the feminine side that resides in every human being, every living being, and throughout the universe, the multiple multiverse. If God exists, it encompasses both femininity and masculinity. It may not be scientifically proven that every cell, every living being, possesses a feminine and masculine aspect, but I believe in it as a concept, as the yin and yang of life. Every void in space, every star, the tiniest of meteorites, black holes—everything, to me, is multigendered. It either is or it isn’t. There are two opposing yet complementary forces that shape everything that exists, making the reality we perceive so rich and diverse.
Women have been marginalized in the art world for millennia. Finally, the art world is becoming increasingly feminine. But let’s not deceive ourselves. There may be more female artists than male artists, but in the top 50 of the global art market, there is only one woman, Yayoi Kusama (1929, Japan), and the presence of women in major art museums around the world is truly minimal. This inequality cannot continue. Women artists of the world, let’s unite and fight for equality. In the art world, it doesn’t exist, and it is only just that we achieve it. That’s why I advocate for this fight for equality for women artists in my art every day, on an equal footing with male artists. There are many men, increasingly so, who believe in this right to equality and fight with the same passion as women to achieve it. This purpose and obligation are the responsibility of both genders.
Respect and defense of sexual and gender diversity
I am an advocate for all forms of gender and sexuality that human beings conceive and identify with. While it may seem obvious in the Western world, there are many regions where people are punished or even killed for expressing their true selves. It is a sad reality that discrimination and violence against individuals based on their gender or sexual orientation still persist in many parts of the world. I stand firmly against such injustices and believe in promoting acceptance, respect, and equal rights for all individuals, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
Original towns
I believe in the indigenous peoples, the native inhabitants of this planet, who have been subjected to massacres and killings for many centuries and millennia. There are very few remaining, but they are an ESSENTIAL part of the human race and its condition. Without them, we would be definitively orphaned, and we would lose our essence in a short period of time. We may become others, but we would no longer be ourselves.
That’s why I enjoy working with photographs of native individuals, whether they are still alive or have already passed away, to try to convey and bring their spirit to life. We need them much more than we realize. I collaborate whenever possible with Survival International and its branches, both in Spain and internationally. I deeply love and admire the work carried out by this NGO.

Admirer of the number 7, my number that appears constantly in my artwork. And I was born in the year 1977.
Slavery to time and Space/Time theory. Live today and now
A being perplexed by our enslavement to time, that’s why I use the image of the clock so frequently in my artworks. I am fascinated by Einstein’s theory of “Space-Time.” I am astonished by the necessary contradictions that exist in the life we inhabit and strongly believe in Tempus Fugit. Live in the present! The rest does not exist.
Admirer of the naked body of human beings and sex
I admire the exposure of the naked human body, as it encompasses our most authentic and distinguishing identity, while also serving as a unifying force. In my artwork, there are many depictions of both male and female nude bodies. I cannot comprehend the false and outdated puritanism. I fail to understand religions or ideologies that censor it, limiting human freedom and self-expression. I cannot comprehend the censorship imposed by social media platforms on artistic representations of the body. Art has never existed without the portrayal of the human body. Such censorship seems regressive and fascist to me. The human body belongs to everyone. As someone once told me, we are all born and die naked; all human beings defecate, urinate, and engage in lovemaking or experience the desire to do so. So why all this fuss? Sex is something beautiful and good. We all exist on this planet thanks to it, or even through self-love, masturbation. It is a wonderful thing. Those who dislike it should cast the first stone before condemning another being for it.
I'm a voyeur
I am a voyeur of the reality in which I live, and what I see enters my mind, heart, and gut, making me feel and reflect. I engage in my own form of philosophy through the experiences I live. These reflections are reflected in my artwork. It is more challenging to express my ideas in words. I express them through complex, unique, and personal images.
I am fascinated by eyes.
If I have to choose a part of my body or any other being, I would undoubtedly choose the eyes. I am fascinated by eyes, regardless of their appearance. They are the instrument through which I look, spy, and contemplate the world. Just for that reason alone, they would be my favorite. But in addition to their role in vision, I consider them truly beautiful. There is nothing like the gaze of a human being or any other animal. They express so much to me. A gaze speaks volumes without words. That’s why in my artwork, you will find eyes—many eyes, and preferably large ones—to see better.
I am committed to exclusivity and creating something unique.
Desde una edad temprana, disfruté dibujando y nunca me gustó copiar, siempre preferí crear mi propio arte y desarrollar mi propio estilo. No veo el arte en la reproducción de obras de otros artistas o en intentar imitar estilos pasados o presentes, aunque aprecio mucho la artesanía. Considero que el compromiso del artista es crear algo exclusivo e individual. Si no hay exclusividad, no se puede considerar verdadero arte. Puede ser que algunos artistas tengan más o menos habilidad técnica para llevar a cabo su visión artística, pero todo artista merece mi respeto y admiración. Personalmente, no cuento con una gran destreza técnica ni he asistido a escuelas para mejorar mis habilidades en el dibujo o aprender técnicas específicas para expresar el arte.
My Trajectory
Mi first exhibition took place in 2019 in Paris, France, at the art space TAC (Territoire Art et Création). The exhibition was titled “Eyes to Be Seen” and featured a complete collection of 25 of my artworks. It ran from April 26th to May 3rd, 2019.
I also had the opportunity to exhibit one of my works titled “Beauty Envy Freedom” at the Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture as part of a group exhibition called “Currents of the 20th Century: Vivanco Collection, a Journey through Artistic Avant-Gardes of the Last Century.”
In Logroño, at the exhibition hall of the Logroño City Council in La Rioja, I participated in the cultural program ACTUAL in December 2021 and January 2022.
Additionally, in Pamplona, at the Pamplona Citadel, I collaborated with the Vivanco Museum and the Pi Fernandino Legacy – Contemporary Art Collection of the Pamplona City Council in an exhibition that took place from April 27th to June 26th, 2022. Due to its great success, the exhibition was extended until September.
Since the beginning of 2023, I have been working with Galería Gaudí in Madrid. I am thrilled to be working with them as they allow me to be true to myself and constantly motivate me to continue creating and painting. It is a great fortune and responsibility to be their exclusive and first artist.
